Let\u2019s take a look at some travel items you should include to help you maintain good oral health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Toothbrush <\/strong>\u2013 Ideally, you should pack multiple toothbrushes in convenient places (i.e., suitcase, carry-on, handbag) so you\u2019re always able to clean your teeth before putting your aligners back in your mouth.<\/li><li><strong>Dental Floss <\/strong>\u2013 Flossing thoroughly between your teeth once a day is necessary to keep your mouth problem-free.<\/li><li><strong>Mouthwash <\/strong>\u2013 Rinsing with antiseptic mouthwash is an excellent way to wash away any lingering harmful substances.<\/li><li><strong>Extra Aligners <\/strong>\u2013 If you\u2019re planning on being away from home for a few weeks, you\u2019ll likely need to change your aligners while you\u2019re away. Make sure you keep the extra set of trays in a safe place!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Keep Up with Your Routine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Vacation may seem like the perfect time to put your responsibilities on the back burner, but that shouldn\u2019t apply to your oral health. Even when you\u2019re away from home, you must continue to brush your teeth twice a day and floss daily to keep your smile in optimal condition. However, you have to remove the aligners before eating or drinking anything that\u2019s not water to avoid damaging them. If that\u2019s the case, it\u2019s also not recommended to brush or rinse with it as well. Before you depart, make sure you check the safety of the tap water at your destination.
